Members making more than one tee time
Currently members may reserve up to two tee times during a four and half hour period. This essentially is an issue for weekend play and mostly involves members physically coming to club starting at 5:30AM. These individuals may reserve a time in their own name and another in another member's name. A proposal was drafted to eliminate this practice by allowing a member to only make one tee time per round time by drafting the following proposal (with the noteable items bolded):
Under the section: Reserving Tee Times
Sign up for starting times may be by phone, online, or in person. When reserving weekend tee times, the tee sheet will be available when the Golf Shop opens at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Regular golf members may reserve one tee time per day in person prior to 6:00 a.m.
In an action based solely on this issue, a past Board modified the Golf Committee's proposal of limiting a member to making one time time within a standard round time by continuing the current policy of allowing two tee times. An updated proposal was drafted as follows:
Sign up for starting times may be by phone, online, or in person. When reserving weekend tee times, the tee sheet will be available when the Golf Shop opens at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Regular golf members may reserve two tee times per day in person.
Note: For populating purposes (that is filling a tee time slot in your own name) and not related to being able to make multiple tee times (filling in another member's name) the following is proposed:
When populating more than one tee time on any one day, a minimum of a four and half hour interval is required between tee times.
No dissension has appeared over this proposal.
